Choosing a platform
01Should we use Moodle or build a custom LMS?
If you need standards compliance, a large course catalogue and proven grading, Moodle is usually the better and cheaper answer. Custom development makes sense when your teaching model has no product behind it.
02What is a modular LMS?
A focused platform assembled from the modules you actually use — typically a third of what a full LMS ships with, built properly, with room to add the rest later.
03Can you customise our existing Moodle?
Yes — theme, course architecture, plugins, integrations, payments, SSO, performance and the upgrade path.
04Can you migrate from another LMS?
Yes, after assessing the source data. Courses, users, enrolments and historical results can usually move; how cleanly depends on what the current system exposes.
05How long does an LMS take to build?
It depends on route and scope. A focused course store is quick; an examination engine or a multi-centre platform is delivered in phases with a pilot cohort in between.

06Can we protect our video content?
We use signed expiring URLs, domain restriction, dynamic watermarking with the student ID, session and device limits, and access logs. Nothing makes video theft impossible — a camera defeats every system — but casual sharing becomes traceable and inconvenient.
07Can we run live classes?
Yes, integrated with the provider you already use, with recording and attendance flowing back into the platform.
08Can we conduct examinations online?
Yes — scheduled windows, section timing, negative marking, auto-grading for objective items, teacher grading with rubrics for subjective, and controlled result publication. Proctoring is an add-on.
09Can students ask doubts?
Yes, on a specific lesson, with a photo or a voice note, routed to faculty. AI can take a first pass on approved material and hand anything else to a teacher.
10Can we issue certificates?
Yes, with a unique ID and a public verification page, so an employer can check it.

It drafts course structure, lesson summaries, practice questions, assignments and marking rubrics from material you upload — recordings, notes, a syllabus.
12Does AI grade students?
It can auto-grade objective items and assist with drafts for subjective ones. Final grades and any decision affecting a student remain with faculty.
13Can AI publish content to students?
No. Every draft enters a review queue and a teacher approves, edits or rejects it.
14Will AI invent content?
Drafts are generated from the material you provide, with the source reference kept against each item so a reviewer can verify it. Where it has no source, it does not answer.
15Is AI included in the platform?
No. The AI engine is an optional paid add-on, billed on usage. The platform works fully without it.

Yes, separately scoped. A PWA often does the job first; a native app makes sense where offline lessons and push notifications genuinely matter.
19Who owns the platform and the data?
Your academic and student data is yours. Custom code ownership follows the agreement; Moodle and third-party components remain under their own licences.
20What does it cost to run?
Beyond the build: hosting, video delivery, live class provider, payment gateway, and AI usage if you enable it. These scale with learners and we size them openly before you commit.
21Do you guarantee course completion or enrolment numbers?
No. The platform removes friction and gives you visibility into who is falling behind. Completion depends on teaching quality, cohort design and follow-up.
